This course immerses students in the current practice of Smart Growth. Students will receive hands-on training in urban field work and analysis. At the end of the course, they will have a basic background in all aspects of Smart Growth, including design, coding, legal, public process, and implementation. |

SGS 201 The Remedy – Smart Growth Codes
Course Agenda
Building on the basics of SGS 101, students in this course will be trained to prepare Smart Growth codes and Regulating Plans. This work will be informed by in-the-field analysis and studio team work.
SGS 301 The Law – Smart Growth Administration & Implementation

Students will acquire in-depth knowledge and practice in the administration and post-adoption implementation of Smart Growth codes. |
